Back in the ‘30s, the sleeves that many an American rolled up when he got down to business belonged to a popular work shirt called the “Big Yank.” We’ve reproduced that shirt with great fidelity to the original, using Japanese fabrics woven on vintage looms from the “Greatest Generation” heyday. We’ve also fine-tuned the fit—especially in the arms, where two-piece sleeve construction allows for greater tailoring precision. The result is a casual shirt that’s the perfect mix of durable and stylish, and available in two cottons: washed selvedge chambray, the classic workman’s blue; or jaspé, a tough and high-twist weave fabric originally designed to protect hunters from brambles. Other vintage features include pointed collars, high-set curved yoke, and folding cuffs. 100% cotton.
