No. 11924

Circa-1903 Solid Ash ~ American-Made

Heritage and modernity meld in remarkably handsome seating—the chair we always seek out. One of the most comfortable and intelligently built outdoor chairs was first patented in 1904, having been unceremoniously lifted from a 1903 Adirondack-based Thomas Lee design. This remarkable piece of furniture was later deemed “the first modernist chair designed in America.” The brilliance of the build is in the angles of the seat to the back and the legs, as well as the wide paddle arms, which are not only exceptionally comfortable but eliminate the need for a side table (an espresso or G&T on one arm, The New Yorker on the other). Our Westport Chair employs the original 1903 design and we’ve spared no expense nor effort in building the best, all to ensure handsome looks, exceptional comfort and incredible longevity. Handcrafted in New York of solid white ash sporting 3 coats of weather-beating, water-based, acrylic enamel. We believe there’s no Adirondack chair as compelling in comfort, fit and finish. Minimal assembly required. Made in America
