Boating In The Adirondacks
BOATING IN THE ADIRONDACKS
Our company's namesake, the guideboat, originated in the Adirondacks. And American infatuation with the canoe began here too, on Lake George in the mid 1800's. The Adirondack mountains are famous worldwide, the second oldest range in the US yet the area is equally renowned for a series of pristine lakes and rivers, every craft imaginable plying the waters. Hallie Bond helps curate the vintage boat collection at the Adirondack Museum. From birch bark canoes to mahogany racing boats, explore the waters and the boats upon them.
