Replicating the 18th-century pack axe and bettering same with tiptop American craftsmanship, our axe is designed for superb performance in the backyard or the back forty, a simple-to-tote field axe extraordinaire, a 2 lb. beaut. Balanced and sharpened to cut, chop, split, carve, shave, hew and hammer—perfect for tree-limbing and kindling-creating. The head is forged from 5160 high-carbon steel, heated and quenched in oil, tempered to a mid-50s Rockwell scale for hardness, all to ensure the axe takes and keeps an incredibly sharp edge. Premium American hickory handle. Comes with gorgeous full-welt black leather sheath and shoulder sling for hands-free carrying. American-made. 24"L handle.

COMING FROM THE SOUTH ON HIGHWAY 101 TOWARDS MILL VALLEY

  • Proceed on Highway 101 North over the Golden Gate Bridge.
  • Continue on Highway 101 approx 5 miles and exit onto CA-1N Mill Valley/Stinson Beach exit.
  • Continue straight for 1 mile and CA-1 N turns slightly right, becoming Almonte Blvd.
  • Continue straight for 1/2 mile onto Miller Avenue.
  • Follow Miller Avenue for 2 miles.
  • Guideboat is on the left at the Mill Valley Lumber Yard.

COMING FROM THE NORTH ON HIGHWAY 101 TOWARDS MILL VALLEY

  • Proceeding on 101 South past San Rafael, CA continue on 101 S for 5 miles.
  • Take exit for Mill Valley/East Blithedale. Turn Right onto E. Blithedale.
  • Continue straight for approximately 1 1/2 miles to Millwood Avenue.
  • Turn left onto Millwood and head down the hill 3 blocks to Miller Avenue.
  • Turn right onto Miller Avenue and go 100 yards to entrance to Mill Valley Lumber Yard.
